$5.00 CAD

These True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Krajova') seeds come directly from the flowers in our main production field. This variety blooms prolifically in mid-summer, and each bud is packed with sweet essential oil. Winter-hardy to zone 5.  Comes with a detailed "How to Grow Lavender From Seed" flyer.

P.S. Clarification on shipping: if you order seeds online, the website automatically charges a flat-rate of $15.00 per order. However, for customers in Canada, we can send one or two packets of seeds in a standard business-size envelope for just $1.07 + tax, so we'll refund the difference at the time we process your order.

Help!  Why does the checkout say that you don't ship to my location?

If you are located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand, and you receive an error message at checkout that reads, 'This order can’t be shipped to your location. Contact the store for more information.' and/or 'We don’t offer shipping to [your province or state].', you probably have an item(s) in your cart available for local pickup only. The most frequent culprits are hand sanitizer and seedlings. Removing those items from your cart will allow you to complete checkout. Outside of these locations, unfortunately we do not offer shipping at this time.

How much does shipping cost?

For Canadian and U.S. Customers: Shipping is a flat rate of CAD$15.00 + applicable sales tax to any destination in Canada, regardless of size or weight of the parcel. Shipping to the U.S. is a flat rate of $18.00 Canadian dollars, no tax, regardless of the size/weight of the parcel or its destination. So you, the customer, pay the first $15.00/$18.00, and any cost above that amount, we pay. For International Customers: the cost of shipping will be calculated at checkout based on the weight of the items you order and your shipping destination.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

Unless other arrangements are made prior to shipping, all orders are sent via Canada Post.

Do You Ship Internationally?

In addition to our flat-rate shipping to the United States, we are pleased to offer calculated shipping rates to the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand via our website. Shipping rates will be calculated by Canada Post based on the weight of the items you order and your shipping destination. Please contact us for further information about costs and methods of payment at LavenderCanada@gmail.com.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Interac E-Transfer (Canada only). If you choose to pay by Interac E-Transfer, please send the email payment to lavendercanada@gmail.com.

Do you offer free shipping?

For customers in Canada and the U.S., we offer free shipping on orders of $75.00 or more. This discount will be applied at checkout (no special code is needed; the discount will be applied automatically). Regrettably, we are unable to offer free shipping to international customers outside of Canada and the U.S. at this time.

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

Orders are typically shipped within 24 hours of receipt, so if you change your mind or need to alter your order, please contact us immediately at LavenderCanada@gmail.com or by replying to your confirmation email. We will do our utmost to accommodate any additions or changes to your order, as long as it has not actually been shipped.

Can I Return a Product?

If you wish to return a product, please contact us immediately after receiving your order to discuss. We're sorry, but culinary products cannot be returned under any circumstances.

Seed delivery

I am very impressed with how quickly the seeds were delivered after I saw your post on FB. Clear instructions and in a pretty purple pouch! I planted them immediately, and now we wait. Thank you!

Thank you for the great review! Best wishes for your seedlings to come.

Beautiful Scented Lavender

Your lavender is a winner here in Ontario. After complete lack of success trying various locally-sold potted varieties, I decided to give your lavender seeds a try. They germinated rapidly and enjoyed a season indoors before being transplanted in the fall. Every plant survived our winter (snow and -30C at times). They flourished this year, even in summer's extreme heat and drought, and we have lovely strong thriving plants in our borders. Awesome.

This is really encouraging to hear. The seeds are from a very hardy variety of lavender called 'Krajova' (krah-YO-va), which is an Eastern European plant and it's the one we grow commercially in our main production field. (It's also known as 'Czech' lavender, by the way). It's extremely hardy here in Nova Scotia, and now you've confirmed it also does well in Ontario, which is great to hear. Thanks for taking time to give us feedback!

Lavender seeds 💜

I, too, was impressed by your lavender seeds. I purchased three packages. Your seeds have an excellent germination rate. I ve tried other lavender seeds, and was dissapointed by seed germination rates in most cases. These seeds grow well in New Brunswick for me. So happy to find your seeds when I did. Thank you Seafoam Lavender.

This is great news, Stef! So pleased to hear this. Stay tuned to our Facebook and/or Instagram pages for care instructions throughout the whole course of the year. Thanks for your nice review! :)

Excellent quality

I have purchased both your seeds and transplants. I am beyond impressed with both. After trying to start (and failing) a lavender garden for many years, I finally succeeded using a combination of your transplants and seeds. My plants are super hardy and typically bloom twice a year!

We are delighted to hear this, Kelly! Lavender 'can' be a bit tricky to grow in cold, wet northern climates, but we've discovered lots of helpful hints to help people succeed -- which we readily share. We are pleased to learn you are having success, and we hope all of your plants give you many years of enjoyment!
