A must-grow in our garden every summer, ground cherries resemble tomatoes but taste more like a sweet, tangy, tropical fruit. The copious orange fruits (encased in papery lanterns which you remove before eating) fall to the ground when ripe - hence their name! Great for snacking, preserves, and salads. Please note they may take a few weeks to germinate, so we recommend starting indoors in early spring so that you'll have large starter plants to put in the garden after the frost risk has passed. ~45 seeds/packet.
Please note, for Canadian customers, seeds can be sent as untracked lettermail. Our website will charge you the regular flat-rate for shipping, but if your order only contains seeds, we will refund you the excess fee above the price of the stamp.
